Reasons to rant

Well..i just realised basically no one is using blogger anymore and if you are, it's not going to get much traction unless you happen to be The Sartorialist or equivalent to that. Yes,i know,it's quite sad. Now go home and weep and sob because your meaningless existence will never cease to be anything but. Terribly sorry for being such a wet blanket but then again there's a fine line between optimism and delusion. As for me,unless you cross that line, you'll probably jump out in front of the first train you see. So i pretend that there are people who actually bother to move their fat, stubby and severly un-used fingers to click on their mouse and read my insignificant ramblings. Seriously,it gives me boundless joy..heck,i don't even need to take my anti-depressants anymore. On to what's going on with me and why i've been so absent from this blog (if you can even call it that). I've actually been living my life instead of being busy creating a fictional online life just to display how awesomely cool and sophisticated my "life" is. SHOCKING! I ACTUALLY HAVE A LIFE?! My deduction is that God's been doing some charity work in order to gain more support for Her/His campaign and at the same time boost Her/His polls. Other than forgiving a few sins here and there, She/He has been taking pity on pathetic dorks with monotonous lives, like me! I've no idea what kind of message this sends but as along as it's to my benefit, who cares? Unfortunately,I am that shallow and superficial..it's part of what makes me an asshole. On a musical note (pun totally intended), I've been seriously obsessed with Real Estate and it's extremely aggravating that i am unable to find their album "Days" anywhere. We Are Trees is another band that I just love, their EP definitely deserves some checking out. Michael Kiwanuka's music is also very real and organic. It's real people playing real music with real instruments which is totally worth your time. Unlike the autotuned, mass produced, manufactured pop you hear nowadays. Thank God (for the record, I don't believe in religion). Anyway,I still haven't read Franzen's "Freedom" which is really quite unfortunate because i've been meaning to for some time. Although,I've read Murakami's "Wind-up Bird Chronicles". yes,so i'm a little late but I don't give a shit. Do you? No, I didn't think so. Thanks for your concern. It's duly appreciated. Hmm....oh! I've watched Allen Ginsberg's sort-of biopic, "Howl". It's mind blowing how much James Franco's voice resembles Ginsberg's and not to mention, Franco does a brilliant job in portraying the talented poet. The thing that saddens me is that surreal movies such as "Howl" get almost little to no publicity whereas movies where glittering vampires impregnate expressionless humans get so much publicity that it's practically nauseating. And my flavour of the month is Joseph Gordon-Levitt, a fabulously talented actor. He's right up there with Julian Casablancas, James Franco,Jonathon Franzen and David Foster Wallace. Well, that's all for now. Till next time, my dear unloved...

Hola! it's me again...what to say to a bunch of people who seem to exist purely in my imagination? How to write to fulfill my ego? Those are the questions;not "to be or not to be?" Yes, i just claimed my problems were deserved more priority from mankind than Shakespeare...so...let me start by informing all of you on what I've been listening recently. Been on a real Nirvana kick again...also just got out off my Gruff Rhys phase...Bright Eyes new record has been on repeat. What else? uh...quite a bit of Lou Reed and Bowie....some Lykke Li tracks (go listen to "Sadness is a Blessing")....Sharon Van Etten's "One Day" is a pretty one....oh and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros makes the world look better without the help of 'shrooms. Ok, i got music out of the way..now books. Reading "Remains of the Day" by Kazuo Ishiguro...just finished "Dubliners" by Joyce n Ray Bradbury's "Farenheit 451"....want to read Jonathon Franzen's book (yes, i haven't read it till now)....reading some Hawthorne as well....only started a bit on Karl Marx....Confucious' biography was quite interesting. That's all, i guess. Now...movies,movies...just watched "Daydream nation" (awesome movie with an awesome soundtrack)...re-watched Tsui hark's "In the Mood for Love" and "Forrest gump"....recently watched "Saving Private Ryan" (it was good; for an action movie)...watched "Let Me In" starring 2 freakishly talented child actors....n i'm gonna indulge on my geeky side n watch "HP7" so sue me. There's only one tv show i really want to watch n dat is "Bored to Death"...already watched season 1 but not 2..but i digress. You must be having sleepless nights over why i haven't posted any lyrics/poetry (as i like to think that they deserve such a label). Well...i'm noy fuckin inspired....so that's all for today, boys and girls. Thanks for coming on

rambles of an inapproiately sane organism??

Not able to read between the lines
what's that,darling?
lets jump down the rabbit hole
through a looking glass
the world torments me so
never to be present
oh,colours that vary
forming our languor
but it doesn't matter
nothing may not get better
i remember you told me
the impassioned shall succumb
and thus,no more will we probe

Tell me something boring
i'm no more interested
than i was before
gotta wake now
before the night comes
to reap our souls
but,no,you said more
everything must fall
to get a fix
out of natural order
just look out,darling
we must jump the gun
but don't pull the trigger
our senses fail us
desperately i hold on
but you smirk and say
'tis just another day
